Alone Again
We have returned from Uganda, and have said our final goodbyes to the Jones’. It was so great to have them here with us, and we are sad to see go. While we visited them in Uganda we had an opportunity to take them to see some of the local sights around Mbale. Here we are on top of Mt. Wanali looking over the town of Mbale.
We also took them hiking at Sipi Falls where we had a great time exploring the falls and surrounding areas. Kelly & Greg even took a dip in the freezing cold water under the waterfall!
We had an interesting time getting across the border this time. Some Ugandan officials killed a Kenyan trucker this past weekend, so the Kenyan truckers went on strike and clogged the main border so no cars could get through. On our way to Uganda we had to go up to a smaller border, which meant driving for about 3 hours on extremely bumpy dirt roads in our 1984 Daihatsu without shocks…good times☺, we all needed a chiropractor after that trip! Then on the way home it was still very congested, but since we did have our wonderful Daihatsu (which is a 4x4), we were able to get through because of the excellent driving skills of my favorite driver in all of Kenya, Kelly.

Thanks for showing us around your country, Carrie. We had SO MUCH FUN, and it was a blessing to me to just be with you all. We love you and are so excited about the doors to ministry to AIDS sufferers that God has opened up to you the past weeks. God bless you, sister!
I'm glad you all had a great visit. I'm looking forward to reading more great stories about all of the exciting and challenging things you're getting to do in Kenya. Thanks for keeping up on the blogs!
